This leads to enormous confusion and lack of the desired effect whenever I mash the steering wheel with my hand. Also, pants are for girls.

I love that steering wheel. I have no idea to this day what those thumb wheels do. Truth is, I don't wanna know...some things are best left unsaid. I like to think they do something so beautiful, it can't be expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you those thumb wheels turned, higher and farther than anybody in a grey place dares to dream. It was like some beautiful bird flapped into our drab little cage and made these walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man on Oppo was free.

I have shoveled snow in shorts. My cutoff is about 20 degrees Fahrenheit. And yes; mashing the center of the steering wheel for the horn as opposed to using your fingers on a button is SO much more satisfying.
